If you ever feel physically or mentally threatened by a person you are dating, stop seeing them. They may promise it will never happen again, but nine times out of ten, it will. Find a safe place to go, get help from friends and use campus resources to help you.

Plugging Away while Unemployed
It is important to stay as productive as possible while unemployed and this does not always solely imply job searching. While this can be a full-time job, it is also essential to keep your skills sharp in any other ways possible, even if it’s not a paying job. Ways to do this can include volunteering or succumbing to working part-time, even if you need the full-time hours. Either option will at least fill the gap on your resume while you are job-hunting, as well as keeping busy and hopefully keeping up with your skill set.

If you are an accountant, this could mean offering to do someone’s books free of charge in exchange for some time in the office, getting out of the house, showing a company your earnest work ethic despite lack of pay. Hopefully it will turn into a job down the road if anything opens up.
